The End of A Season, The New Beginning for Coach Danny

Danny had a following. Here are "Danny's Boys". He loves them all! And the feeling is mutual.

The class of 2006 referred to by Danny as "the OGs". This is his first group of JVers. Also included in this photo are some boys from '05.

These guys never made it to Danny. They went straight to Varsity from the Freshmen team. However, Danny still has a place in his heart for them. Hey Mikey!

Class of 2007. Are they legal already?

Class of 2008. Next year they too will be legal. Yikes!

How sad for the Class of 2009 . And then there were only 3.

Class of 2010. What can I say. The blog says it all.

The Class of 2011. Next year's seniors.

Alas, this is the final class, the Class of 2012, to see Danny as a single man. Coach Duong, Henry & Jon decided to join in with this group shot. & Sam-where'd you come from?

To Jenn & Danny-Here's wishing you a long and happy life together. The Class of 2013 may see a different Danny. Nah!

Keppel Fans will say goodbye to the Old Gym

My son played in this gym for 4 years. We grew up here as we started working out with Coach Marquis back in the days. That was almost 15 years that we've been in this gym. We got used to the single stall. We got used to the concrete seats. We ran to the top to grab a seat to tape our games. We had to deal with the cold coming thru those windows. We had to deal with the heat in the summer. Ask Mrs. Sanchez & Ms. Rosso about their seats. They've been in the same seats for as long as I can remember. We tried to reserve those seats so they'd always be there but never got there early enough as the fans kept coming. These teachers are our #1 fans.

It's not the end of it all. It's the beginning of a new gym, a new era of Keppel basketball. This one suddenly will become the "old gym" or in the future the "small gym". I'm only sorry that my son never made it to play in the "New Gym" as a Keppelite. Oh wait! He will just have to come back and play in the alumni game next year.

END OF THE ROAD

Another year, another playoff game. We traveled the distance and came home with a disappointing 38/74 loss.

The Summit team could shoot lights out. What great athletes!

Unfortunately, that was the end of the road. Especially for the 3 seniors who have travelled the long and winding road. Great job-Dean, Adam, and Nick. Good luck to the underclassmen Tim, Sam, Justin, Jordan, Aaron, Eric, and Jacky. We look forward to seeing you again next year. And to the JV boys who joined us tonite-Marty, Haluska, Sho, and Cameron-wish you well.

Thanks to the coaches-Duong, Danny, Adam, Joe, Norm, and Jeff!

Wishing the program continued success. Boy-what am I to do without all of this. For those who know me well-you'll know that there will be a big void in my life.

As I bid you farewell-GO AZTECS!

So, we're heading on out to Fontana. The kids are already there as the bus arrived a few minutes ago.
