The End of A Season, The New Beginning for Coach Danny
Danny had a following. Here are "Danny's Boys". He loves them all! And the feeling is mutual.
The class of 2006 referred to by Danny as "the OGs". This is his first group of JVers. Also included in this photo are some boys from '05.
These guys never made it to Danny. They went straight to Varsity from the Freshmen team. However, Danny still has a place in his heart for them. Hey Mikey!
Class of 2007. Are they legal already?
Class of 2008. Next year they too will be legal. Yikes!
How sad for the Class of 2009 . And then there were only 3.
Class of 2010. What can I say. The blog says it all.
The Class of 2011. Next year's seniors.
Alas, this is the final class, the Class of 2012, to see Danny as a single man. Coach Duong, Henry & Jon decided to join in with this group shot. & Sam-where'd you come from?
To Jenn & Danny-Here's wishing you a long and happy life together. The Class of 2013 may see a different Danny. Nah!

Keppel Fans will say goodbye to the Old Gym
My son played in this gym for 4 years. We grew up here as we started working out with Coach Marquis back in the days. That was almost 15 years that we've been in this gym. We got used to the single stall. We got used to the concrete seats. We ran to the top to grab a seat to tape our games. We had to deal with the cold coming thru those windows. We had to deal with the heat in the summer. Ask Mrs. Sanchez & Ms. Rosso about their seats. They've been in the same seats for as long as I can remember. We tried to reserve those seats so they'd always be there but never got there early enough as the fans kept coming. These teachers are our #1 fans.
It's not the end of it all. It's the beginning of a new gym, a new era of Keppel basketball. This one suddenly will become the "old gym" or in the future the "small gym". I'm only sorry that my son never made it to play in the "New Gym" as a Keppelite. Oh wait! He will just have to come back and play in the alumni game next year.

Outlook for the 2009-2010 Season
Four Tournament Championships during the summer and the Burbank Tournament to start off the 2009-2010 Season. This will be a banner year.
Returning to the Varsity Squad: Seniors Aaron Lee, Sam Thim, Timmy Wong, & Eric Yu. Juniors include Twins Justin & Jordan Young. Joining them will be Seniors Robby Chun, Alex Haluska, and Jonathan Saisho and Juniors Max Katz, Cameron Lee-Sung, and Jonathan Marty.
Record to date: 9/1 right behind Montebello's 11/1 in the Almont League. What a great start.
Follow the team en route to the CIF playoffs in February. Let's get to Round 2 and on.

Remembering Keppel
In case we forget, I'd like to share memories of the Old Keppel Gym. So sit back & enjoy & reminisce. Some of these you've seen everyday but never noticed. My big regret is that I don't have any photos of the "small" gym before it was torn down. And let's see if we can add to that League Champs banner in 2009-2010. GO AZTECS!
League Champs Banner-Boys Basketball-next entry?
Scoreboard-scoreless
Scorers table where you often heard "Hello Everybody"
The Visitors Bench. Welcome.
Aztecs Bench. GO AZTECS!
Varsity Lounge. I'm not even sure where this one is. I've never seen it before.
All Net! Check out our ceiling tiles.
Our trusty speaker. A wee bit dusty.
The water fountain. It looks clean enough. Is the water safe?
Our Alma Mater. I don't remember if I ever heard it played or sung at the games.
PE signage. 1939? No wonder!
The door handles. Could never figure out which side to open. Duh!
